Up near 14,000 feet on Mt. Evans in Colorado, these adorable little guys look like they're concerned about the height of this boulder. In reality, they'd been shoving each other off of it for five or ten minutes before I caught this particular moment.
Some friends and I had just crossed from the Eastern Slope to the Western Slow of the Continental Divide in Colorado via the Eisenhower Tunnel. (Thankfully, they are used to me shouting "Pull over here!")
Echo Lake, at the base of Mount Evans in Colorado, on a cold winter day. Yes, the lake is mostly frozen .. and yes, there was a lot of snow in those clouds. (I was shivering so hard, I had to lean against a post to capture a sharp image.)
